Fun Interactive Toys for Adult Cats

Even as adults, cats continue to enjoy playtime. It not only provides the health benefits of exercise, but also nurtures their primal hunting instincts. That's why it's important to provide the right toys. Interactive varieties are great since humans aren't required to make them move, light up, or whatever they do.

My cats, Teddy and Mitsy, are young adults now, and they love playing with their favorite toys while the humans are asleep. The upstairs hallway becomes a hockey rink, and they bat around and chase balls, springs, and whatnot. During the day, they aren't nearly as active and often show signs of boredom. By signs, I mean meowing to get my attention. That's why I began searching for interactive toys for adult cats.

My Cats Love Their Interactive Play Mat

I spent a lot of time searching for interactive rechargeable toys for cats, and the one I chose was a hit. Teddy and Mitsy absolutely love this play mat, and I love that it doesn't require batteries! It has several different speed and pattern settings, and the feather wands are replaceable. Because it's rechargeable, it eventually pays for itself.

A Toy That Adult Cats Love

My cats spend countless hours by the door watching birds, and they'd love nothing more than to nab one. Buying an interactive flying bird toy is a better alternative to letting them hunt. First of all, my cats are strictly indoors because I don't want them outside. It's too dangerous! Secondly, I love birds, and I don't want them harmed. As you can tell from the photo, my cats have plenty to eat and don't need to hunt, but they still have that innate desire.

Check out the *Ad - CATPICK Automatic Flying Bird & Mouse Doorway Hanging ToyIt's amazing! My two cats get lots of exercise jumping and trying to catch the 'prey'. It comes with two birds and one mouse attachment. They don't seem to have a preference and love playing with both.

How Does This Automatic Flying Bird and Mouse Toy Work?

Like the other automatic cat toy I suggested, this is also rechargeable and includes a USB cable. It has a retractable line that moves up and down to encourage play hunting. Best of all, if kitty feels like playing and touches the bird or mouse, it turns on automatically. It securely attaches above the doorway, and it doesn't leave marks on the walls or wood trim.

My cats have owned these fun interactive toys for several months, and they're still in great shape. They're great for those who work or can't provide the necessary playtime. The battery savings will also pay for this one very quickly.
