Bird Buddy Pro Solar Bird Feeder Camera Review

Hello, my fellow cat and bird-loving friends. My cats love to watch streaming videos of birds on TV, and I was recently gifted a bird feeder cam. I didn't know what to expect, including camera quality or if my backyard birds would even like the new birdfeeder. After using it for a few weeks, I'm posting my honest review of the Birdbuddy Pro Solar Bird Feeder with Camera for my followers and anyone interested in learning about it.

Capabilities of the Birdbuddy Solar Feeder

  • Solar panel for continual charging
  • HD camera
  • Supports HDR (high dynamic range) for amazing photos and videos
  • Up to 2K video resolution
  • Image and video notifications
  • Collect and organize favorite photos on the app
  • Alexa compatible
  • AI nature chat
  • Species recognition
  • Name returning birds (if desired)
  • Real-time notifications
  • Sharp details
  • Slow-motion video option
  • Ignore specific species
  • Predator alert
  • Watch birds posted by community members from around the world
  • Report sick or injured birds through the app
  • High-quality recorded audio that can be turned on or off

How Easy is it to Set Up?

The feeder itself came assembled, and it was so easy to attach the camera, perch, and other included parts. You simply plug in the camera and attach it to the solar panel. It came with port plugs to use when the camera isn't attached. The only time I plan to unattach it is during storms or times of extremely cold or hot temperatures. These simple instructions are in the box.

To watch the action, all you have to do is download the app and connect to wi-fi and Bluetooth. It was so easy!

My YouTube Channel - Birds for Cats to Watch

Would you like to see the videos I've captured with my Ad - Bird Buddy Solar Bird Feeder? I started out compressing my videos to transfer them via Yahoo email to my laptop computer, but that wasn't necessary. I hadn't thought about video quality after compression at first, but after downloading the YouTube creator app, it was easier, and the quality was phenomenal. With that said, my earlier videos aren't as high-quality as the more recent ones. Like anything, there's a learning curve, but it's still very easy to share, whether you're posting them on social media or not.

Is a Paid Subscription Required?

You absolutely do not have to sign up for a premium plan to enjoy your bird feeder camera and share the photos and videos. However, I signed up for a yearly subscription so that others would have direct access to the app. That way, my friends could receive 'postcards' from the app with video and photo captures, as well as access to the live stream. The included 1080p video resolution option was great, but the premium subscription enabled me to use 2K resolution for my YouTube channel - after I discovered I had it!

Stop by my channel, Backyard Birds for Cats, to see my latest and (so far) greatest videos. I have to say it... Be sure to also like, comment, and subscribe! Let me know that you found my channel through my review.

Every day, I'm surprised by new guests and their antics! I've also learned a lot of new and interesting information on birds that frequent my feeder. I had been misidentifying a couple of species, and I've learned a lot about their courting rituals and challenges. It's way cooler than I had ever imagined, and it's by far one of the best gifts I've ever received.
